Ingredients you need to make Caramel Apple Crisp: 

  • 6 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • ½ tablespoon cinnamon
  • ½ lemon, freshly squeezed 
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • ¾ cup Quaker quick oats 
  • 1.5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons light butter, melted 
  • ¼ cup Smuckers sugar-free caramel sauce

How to make Caramel Apple Crisp (step by step): 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F, and spray a 9×13 casserole dish with some nonstick cooking spray. Set the dish aside for now.
  2. Peel and dice the apples, then mix the diced apples with the lemon juice and cinnamon in a small bowl. 
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the all purpose flour, quick oats, brown sugar, and nuts together. Then stir in the melted butter and caramel sauce.
  4. Place the apples in the casserole dish then top with the oat/nut topping. It will be sticky which is what you want. Divide the mixture evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake it in the oven for 35-40 minutes.
  6. Makes 6 servings. Each serving is approx 6oz. Serve warm and enjoy.

  • You can use any nuts that you like in this caramel apple crisp. It doesn’t have to be walnuts. Almonds, pecans, and cashews all work. Even peanuts would work well.
