Ingredients:
– 2 tsp unsalted butter
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 tsp baking powder

– tsp fine sea salt
– 1 cups finely chopped toasted walnuts
– cup packed light brown sugar
– cup white sugar
– 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
– 1 tsp ground cinnamon
– tsp salt
– 1 cup white sugar
– cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cup plain yogurt
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 2 Honeycrisp apples
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350F and butter a 9×12-inch baking dish.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt. Set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together the crumble ingredients until thoroughly coated.
4. Cream the white sugar and butter together with a spatula until well blended. Add one egg and whisk until smooth, then add the second egg and whisk until thoroughly incorporated. Add yogurt and vanilla, whisking together.
5. Add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients and whisk until the flour disappears. Do not overmix.
6. Dice the Honeycrisp apples and fold them into the cake batter with a spatula.
7. Spread half of the batter evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Scatter half of the crumble mixture evenly over the top.
8. Add the rest of the batter in dollops, spreading carefully to evenly distribute without disturbing the crumbs. Top with the remaining crumb mixture and press crumbs gently into the batter.
9. Bake for approximately 40 minutes, until a toothpick or bamboo skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool to room temperature (about 30 minutes) before slicing and serving.
