Three reasons why you need to make this recipe!

Pepperoni pinwheels are the best appetizer!

Everyone loves pizza, but if you want something smaller to serve as an appetizer, these are great. They’re handheld and can be eaten cleanly!

These make great lunches for you or the kids.

Pop a few into a lunch box along with some fresh fruit, and you’ve got a flavorful, low-point lunch that doesn’t have to be heated.

You need just four ingredients.

It doesn’t get easier than that! And these pinwheels bake quickly, so you’re in and out of the kitchen within 30 minutes.

Ingredients you need to make Pepperoni Pinwheels:

  • 1 package Pillsbury reduced fat crescent rolls
  • 2 tablespoon pizza sauce
  • ⅓ cup reduced fat shredded cheese (I use a 3 cheese blend)
  • 20 Pepperoni slices (56g)DSCN1534

How to make Pepperoni Pinwheels (step by step):

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F, spray a baking sheet, then set aside.
  2. Lay out the dough into one long piece, pinching together any seams.
  3. Cut up the pepperoni slices into 4 pieces for each slice.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce on the dough, top with the shredded cheese, and then the pepperoni.
  5. Roll up the dough and place it in the freezer for 5 minutes. This will help firm it up a bit.
  6. Using a serrated knife, cut into 14 pieces.
  7. Lay the pieces on the baking sheet and bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, checking often.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
